1) What forms of payment are allowed?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are available payment options.
2) What shipping service levels are available?
All orders are shipped using ground service - we don't currently offer any expedited service levels. You will receive a shipment tracking email once your order has shipped.
3) How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is calculated based on your order total (before tax), with 3 tiers as follows:

$0-50.00 order total = $5.00 shipping charge
$50.01-100.00 order total = $7.50 shipping charge
$100.01+ = $10.00 shipping charge
4) How is tax calculated?
Shopping tax is calculated only for orders that are shipped to PA (Pennsylvania) and IL (Illinois). All other orders are tax free.
5) Are product returns allowed?
Product returns are permitted for products that are shipped incorrectly, are defective, or are unwanted.
In order to return a product, you must first request a return authorization by contacting returns@somesimplethings.com within 10 days of the receipt of the product.
Once you have received your return authorization, please ship the original, unused product to the address that will be included in your return authorization email.
Once the return is received by SomeSimpleThings, it will be processed and your refund will be granted, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. If the product is not returned in original, unused condition, the return will not be processed and a refund will not be granted. You will be notified by email if your return is not accepted - in this case, you may request that the product be shipped back to you, for the cost of shipping.
6) Can an order be cancelled?
An order may be cancelled free of charge as long as it has not already been processed for shipping. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact orders@somesimplethings.com and we will do everything possible to stop your order from being shipped.

9) Do I need to create an account to order?
You do not need to create an account on SomeSimpleThings.com in order to complete an order - you may complete checkout as a guest. You will still need to supply your email address to place an order as a guest, so our order process can notify you of order and shipping status.
However, if you do create an account, you will be able to complete future orders more quickly because your account will let you utilize saved shipping addresses and billing addresses. You will also be able to review past order history, which will make future ordering of household items more efficient.
